History lessons abound in Prince George’s County. Walk through the historic remnants of a pre-Civil War fort at Fort Washington Park, a National Park Service site. Or, take in some flight history at the College Park Aviation Museum at College Park Airport, known as the world’s oldest continuously operating airport. It was founded in 1909 when Wilbur Wright arrived to give flight instructions to the first military aviators. Museum exhibits highlight unique aircraft and early aviation technology.
