The Upper Tahquamenon Falls is the second largest waterfall east of the Mississippi River and one of the biggest group tour attractions in the Upper Peninsula. The Upper Falls are on the mighty Tahquamenon River where Hiawatha launched his canoe to start his epic journey featured in Longfellow’s classic poem, “The Song of Hiawatha”.
Close by is the Great Lakes Shipwreck Museum at Whitefish Point which houses the bell from the “Edmund Fitzgerald”.

Take the Pictured Rocks Boat Cruise on Lake Superior or the Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tour in Munising Bay for the best pictures of this historic lighthouse on Grand Island which is the second largest island in the American waters of Lake Superior.
The Lighthouse operated from 1867 until 1913 and during that time guided thousands of vessels plying the waters of Lake Superior into the safe confines of Munising Bay.

This iconic engineering marvel stands 26 stories above the hilltop and provides a view unequaled in the Midwest and a fall color panorama second to none. The vista overlooks Lake Superior and on a clear day you can see parts of Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota and 85 miles across the lake.

Brockway Mountain Drive has consistently been rated as one of the most scenic mountain drives in the Midwest. The view from the top offers an unparalleled view of Lake Superior and during the fall color season thousands of acres of color paint the landscape.
From the top of the mountain you can view the inland lakes you passed by on the way up and watch as the freighters pass by on the waters below.
