An urban oasis on the plains, Omaha is a dynamic and energetic city that continually transforms itself. Omaha is named after an American Indian tribe and means “those going against the wind or current.”
“Groups will discover venues, accommodations and entertainment, in a city filled with surprises,” said Jessica Weishahn, tourism sales manager at Visit Omaha. “Omaha is conveniently located at the crossroads of the country in the center of America, making flying or driving easy.
“There is a reason why Omaha was named one of America’s Best Cities. Omaha’s reputation is growing in popularity as a Foodie City and is home to one of the ‘World’s Best’ zoos and is known for being a great value destination for visitors.”
Internationally known as one of the world’s best zoos, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium is more than a zoo; it’s a biological park dedicated to conservation and it’s with year-round wild kingdom adventures. For easy mobility, guests can hop on the zoo’s tram, which comfortably transports up to 50 guests to view exhibits throughout the zoo.
