Nestled between Daytona Beach and Jacksonville, Florida’s Historic Coast is known for its miles of beaches, world-class accommodations and dining, and unique activities. If you’ve never been, or if it has been a while, there have been some new additions to the lineup that hold plenty of appeal for groups. And there is even more on the way.

New accommodations include the AC Hotel St. Augustine by Marriott, which opened last fall and offers walkable proximity to the city’s Historic District. For a touch of local culture right when you arrive, the lobby is decorated with rotating art exhibits from area artists. Also in St. Augustine you’ll find Casa Monica Resort & Spa, a legendary property from 1888 which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In June, Casa Monica will undergo a $17 million renovation project to be completed by October, delivering revitalized guest rooms and updated finishes throughout the property while maintaining that historic charm.

For fun group activities, check out the new custom scavenger hunts offered by Spyglass Travel & Tours, tailored specifically to your group’s interests. For groups looking to explore off their feet, Old Town Trolley Tours St. Augustine has unveild a new live tracker so groups can easily plan their day around hopping on and off the trolley. And for an idyllic view from the water, Florida Water Tours is offering a new “Sunset River Jazz Cruise” on Saturdays where the music makes an ideal backdrop to the scenery. One of St. Augustine’s most enduring landmarks for groups is the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, covering 450 years of Black American history in the area. Their offerings now include “Soul Food Lunch” for groups of 25 or more, a delicious way to discover Gullah Geechee culture through its cuisine.
