The Crystal Coast – including Morehead City, Emerald Isle, Atlantic Beach and historic Beaufort – combines the best of the North Carolina Outer Banks with the best getaway in history. Here you’ll find the fantastic undeveloped barrier islands of the Cape Lookout National Seashore. The lighthouse beacon sweeps over wild horses of Shackleford Banks, the wreck of Blackbeard’s flagship Queen Anne’s Revenge, the Civil War landmark Fort Macon, Beaufort’s nearly-300 years of coastal Carolina history, and 30 miles of ocean resorts.
