- Marquette Harbor Lighthouse was constructed in 1866 and the second story in 1909. The lighthouse is the oldest significant structure in the city and more importantly, the lighthouse is one of the most historic navigation beacons on Lake Superior and critical to the development of the Great Lakes iron ore trade.
- Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the most popular scenic overlooks on the central Upper Peninsula coastline The Sugarloaf Mountain Natural Area consists of a 3,200 foot trail of pathway and stairway segments that lead to the mountain’s summit 470 feet above Lake Superior.
