The 194-acre Lake Fayetteville is a pleasant place situated on 458 acres of park land and offers an abundance of recreational opportunities, including boat and bicycle rentals, a boat dock and marina, disc golf course, and 5 1/2-mile nature trail around the lake. The Veterans Memorial Park and Botanical Garden of the Ozarks also are group-friendly venues. Groups also will enjoy The Ramble, Fayetteville’s newest park.

See

Fayetteville also has a stunning cultural landscape. The Faulkner Performing Arts Center at the University of Arkansas is a must-stop for groups looking to dive into the local art scene. Another venue is the Tin Roof, located on Dickson Street—the “heartbeat of Fayetteville” because of its performing arts and food scene—and within walking distance of U of A. With 12,550 square feet on two levels, a patio that can accommodate up to 850 people, big-screen TVs, a 10-foot projection screen, and two stages, it’s a place to party! While on Dickson Street, visit the ArtCourt, a place described as being “an unexpected intersection of art and play.”

Taste

“It’s good to be hungry when you’re in Fayetteville,” according to Experience Fayetteville, “but it’s hard to stay that way!” There is indeed plenty to keep your group filled. Foghorn’s, which specializes in burgers and wings, is a favorite local stop with private group options. Try the meatloaf, fish and grits, ropa vieja, or stir-fried farro at the Mockingbird Kitchen, which serves “fresh from scratch” menu items that are described as “modern Ozark cuisine.” Other favorite local eateries include Girls Gone BBQ, Herman’s Ribhouse, and Penguin Ed’s.
