SEE THE SCENERY

The views Duluth offers are endless, whether group tours are taking them in via plane, train, or automobile. Drive Skyline Parkway for incredible views of Saint Louis Bay and Lake Superior while seeing the city end to end, or cruise North Shore All-American Scenic Drive—spanning 154 miles of shoreline and other landmarks. Enjoy a historic passenger car on the North Shore Scenic Railroad, or take a Vista Fleet cruise and sightseeing tour. For the thrill seekers, embark on a “Beaver Air Tour” by Lake Country Air Service, or take a ride with Lake Superior Helicopters.

TAKE IT IN

As a booming hub of arts and entertainment, Duluth is home to year-round festivals, concerts, galleries, and more. Summertime calls for a concert at Bayfront Festival Park. Year-round entertainment options at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center and Amsoil Arena are plentiful, and be sure to check out The Depot, Zeitgeist Arts, and a long list of local artist galleries for a variety of cultural events.

HARKEN BACK

History buffs will enjoy public tours of Glensheen Mansion, the most-visited historic home in Minnesota; the Lake Superior Railroad Museum; the historic Fitger’s Complex, a former brewery turned shopping, dining, and entertainment hub; and the Dr. Robert Powless Cultural Center, which honors, reclaims, and empowers traditional art and supports Indigenous people.

GET OUTDOORS

In the warm-weather months, take a kayak, paddleboard, or canoe tour on Lake Superior, experience world-class mountain biking at Spirit Mountain and other trails, or hike and walk the endless parks and trails the area has to offer. In colder months, ski or snowboard at Spirit Mountain or ice skate at one of seven skating rinks.
