EXPLORE

Over the past few years, the riverfront of Fort Wayne—which sits at the confluence of three rivers—has undergone a transformation, and Promenade Park is the anchor of this thriving 4-acre multiuse space. Here, the summer concert series and dance workshops create a festive atmosphere. It’s just a short 10-minute walk along the St. Marys River to Headwaters Park, with its open-air pavilions and Hamilton Sculpture Garden. For a unique experience, Sweet Breeze—a replica of an authentic canal boat—offers fully accessible tours, which last from 45 to 90 minutes, for up to 38 passengers. Step back in time at The Old Fort with year-round events and costumed reenactments of early 1800s Colonial and soldiering life at this re-created log stockade.
