The Old Fish Factory, set above the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic overlooking the harbor, is well suited for group dining and offers a menu grounded in regional seafood traditions. Ironworks Distillery provides a memorable tasting experience in a restored ironworks building. The Grand Banker Bar & Grill rounds things out with a relaxed atmosphere and harbor views, ideal for informal group gatherings.
CELEBRATE
In early August, the town comes alive during the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, one of the oldest music festivals in Canada. Later in the year, a different kind of magic arrives. Each November, Light Up Lunenburg sees the wharf lit up with a giant Christmas tree made from lobster traps and by boats in the harbor glowing with strings of lights. The Lunenburg Christmas Craft Festival takes place at the same time and is one of the most popular craft markets in the province.
