Lehman’s, a family-owned and -operated store in Ohio’s Amish Country, helps people lead a simpler life.
Located in Kidron, Ohio, Lehman’s is full of simple products that simply work.
The store values locally- and USA-made products and stocks low-tech items and reliable, non-electrical products.
In a high-tech world, Lehman’s specializes in decidedly low-tech and old-fashioned items.
“With over 35,000 square feet of shopping and a museum-quality display of antiques, Lehman’s will entertain you for hours,” said Glenda Lehman Ervin, vice president of marketing. “Schedule a lunch in the Cast Iron Café, a make-it-and-take-it craft or a simple step-on tour. Lehman’s is a great destination for all ages.”
From cast-iron Dutch ovens to goat’s milk soap and Amish-made items to corn house brooms, it’s all at Lehman’s.
The store’s living a simpler life theme means being devoted to four main principles: satisfying, understandable, sustainable and comforting.
It is recommended operators allow two hours for their groups to explore the store and café. The store is handicapped accessible, with benches located throughout.
A tip for group visitors shopping in Lehman’s is to look up. Thousands of museum-quality antiques are displayed throughout the store, many of which are located on shelving above the products.
Another tip: snap photos. The store’s Photo Op Spots include an authentic Amish Buggy, vintage phone booth and pre-Civil War-era jail.
The store offers group tours a three-minute step-on greeting that needs to be scheduled in advance. One guest will win a special prize.
Store representatives are happy to provide a box of Lehman’s catalogs for the operator to hand out to guests as they return to the motorcoach.
Free shipping is available on orders of $100 or more.
There is ample free motorcoach parking.
The driver and escort receive a free meal at Lehman’s Cast Iron Café.
