Located in beautiful Hagerstown City Park, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts has been recognized as one of the country’s finest small museums. The permanent collection encompasses over 6,500 objects, including paintings, prints, sculptures, drawings and decorative arts. A new art trail leads from the museum and park to a variety of dining options.

Maryland Theatre

Built in 1915, the Maryland Theatre was recently reopened after a full renovation and expansion. An anchor to Hagerstown’s Arts & Entertainment District, the theater is home to the Maryland Symphony Orchestra. A variety of regional and national performances take place throughout the year. Groups can enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour.

C & O Canal

The Cushwa Basin along the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal in Williamsport is the only location along the 174-mile canal path where visitors can view a variety of canal features in one place, including a lift lock, refurbished lock house and a newly watered aqueduct. Canal boat rides are available in the summer.
