The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum on the Texas A&M University campus is a premier destination for visitors from around the world. As one of the top attractions in the state of Texas, the museum creates an experience that is both educational and entertaining for all audiences, revealing the unique influences and challenges that shaped Bush’s life and presidency through frequently changing temporary exhibits, artifacts, films, photographs, documents, music, sound effects, and interactive videos, encompassing much of U.S. history since 1941.

Highlights among the museum’s exhibits include a 1925 film of Bush’s first steps in Kennebunkport, Maine, records and memorabilia from his tenure as the 41st president, replicas of his Camp David office and the White House Situation Room, a piece of the Berlin Wall, and a replica Oval Office—perfect for photo ops. Adjacent to the museum in the new 29,000-square-foot James A. Baker III Pavilion, see the 4141 Locomotive and the Marine One helicopter. Through these exhibits, visitors will gain an understanding of President Bush’s leadership and legacy of public service.

The museum is excited to welcome a pair of temporary exhibits, “Opening the Vaults” March 9 through April 15, 2026, and “E Pluribus Unum: Celebrating the American Experience,” open June 30, 2026, through May 16, 2027. In honor of America’s Semiquincentennial, “E Pluribus Unum” will explore all the different areas of our culture that are distinctly American. From music, food, art, and recreation, to symbols of our nation, this exhibit will inspire visitors with a sense of the important facets that unite our blended culture into something greater than the sum of our parts. “E Pluribus Unum” will be organized thematically and include original holdings from the National Archives, other cultural heritage institutions, and private lenders.

Groups can enjoy an on-site dining option at Daisy’s Table, conveniently located in the Pavilion. Offering a casual dining experience, reservations are not required, and the Pavilion is open during normal museum operating hours. Groups can visit the Pavilion without purchasing a ticket to the museum.

Open year-round, The Bush Library & Museum hosts many community events that welcome all ages and interests. The museum offers group rates and can possibly customize tours depending on group type and size. The education department frequently schedules school group tours and provides educational activities.

The George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum is one of 16 presidential libraries operated by the National Archives and Records Administration. Presidential libraries promote understanding of the presidency and the American experience. They preserve and provide access to historical materials, support research, and create interactive programs and exhibits that educate and inspire. Texas has three presidential libraries, and a fourth is located in Arkansas, easily accommodated into a presidential libraries tour. To learn more, visit Bush41library.gov.
