The Meadowlands Live! CVB has multiple attractions for every possible age group and interest. Your group will find shopping and entertainment at the American Dream complex, NFL football and the biggest names in music at MetLife Stadium, world-class soccer at Sports Illustrated Stadium, environmental tourism on a 13,000-acre nature preserve, and American history at Ellis Island. The thrill-seekers of your group will find plenty to love all year-round with white-knuckle kart racing at RPM Raceway, indoor skydiving, indoor roller coasters, plus indoor skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. And with 13,500 hotel rooms and a location just a 15-minute drive from Newark Airport, bus tours, and public transit, you’ll find the Meadowlands convenient to anything your group desires.

Tour operators love having the Meadowlands on their itineraries because there is so much to do, all within a relatively short distance. American Dream alone has dozens of attractions and is a one-stop destination for not only world-class shopping but also unique indoor activities such as roller coasters, an observation wheel overlooking Manhattan, an indoor waterpark, museums and aquariums, arcade games and activities, high-end and fast casual eateries, and curated entertainment for all ages. American Dream is such a large destination that groups often spend two days there to experience all it has to offer.

The Liberty Science Center is also a great destination for groups, specializing in hands-on learning and entertainment. The history of the region is also rich with the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and Revolutionary War sites all nearby. For ecotourism, visitors can explore a 13,000-acre nature preserve and view rare birds on the endangered or protected lists. All of these exciting activities are packed into a localized region that has thousands of dining options from traditional Italian to upscale Mediterranean.

Boat tours along the Hudson River departing from Jersey City are very popular with visitors. These tours take you around the Statue of Liberty with sweeping views of New York City, Ellis Island, and Liberty State Park. In addition, the Hackensack Riverkeeper and the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority also offer eco tours for small groups that are intimate end educational, and provide a chance to see rare animals and waterfowl.

In addition to catching an NFL game featuring the New York Jets or Giants, or an MLS game with the New York Red Bulls, the Meadowlands area offers a nearly endless calendar of world-class entertainment. This summer alone MetLife Stadium will be hosting the FIFA Club World Cup, WWE SummerSlam, and concerts from Zack Bryan, Billy Joel and Stevie Nicks, My Chemical Romance, and Oasis. Horse racing enthusiasts won’t want to miss the 100th running of the Hambletonian at Meadowlands Racetrack on Aug. 2, 2025. And next year, the world will come to MetLife Stadium for the biggest sporting event on the planet, the FIFA World Cup.

Visitors to the region will discover all this and more at a fraction of the price, let alone the hassle, of visiting New York City—though the city is just 8 miles away. Groups can spend a day, but it is recommended to spend at least three days and two nights to take advantage of what the entire region has to offer. Calling/emailing the Meadowlands Live! CVB will be a valuable resource with expert guidance on what to do and where to stay. With a wide array of activities from action sports to education to some of the finest dining, there is literally something for everyone here in the Meadowlands New Jersey.
