The Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia features pottery that was made by the Indigenous Cherokee Indians and handmade pottery by the first settlers after the Cherokee. At Sautee Nacoochee Cultural Center, learn the history of the beautiful Sautee and Nacoochee valleys and the first gold rush in North America, which occurred in Helen County, before the 1848 California gold rush.

Visit Nora Mill Granary, one of the oldest working grist mills in the United States. Watch it in action, shop the many items the mill offers, and take home treats for entire family to enjoy. The granary also provided power for Hardman Farm, now Georgia’s newest state historic site. Built in 1870, this Victorian beauty has been restored to its original brilliance for all to enjoy.
