It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and it’s an extra special time to bring your group to Atlantic City, New Jersey, for the Tinseltown Holiday Experience. All the fun and festivities of the holiday season are here to enjoy, from live entertainment and light displays to holiday shopping and delicious treats. Special deals on hotels, dining, and more make the Atlantic City Tinseltown Holiday Experience the gift to give this year.
No holiday celebration is complete without a tree, and Atlantic City’s Tropicana resort starts the season off in style with its tree-lighting ceremony on Nov. 22. See Santa, snack on complimentary treats, and hear festive music from the Mainland Regional High School Choir. For those unable to attend the lighting ceremony, the tree will be on display all season with a Holiday Musical Light Show every day through Dec. 26 at noon. There are other tree lightings in the area to catch as well, including at Bally’s on Dec. 6 and in Ducktown Park on Dec. 7.

Live entertainment is everywhere you look in Atlantic City all year round, but especially during the holidays. The Atlantic City Ballet offers up a pair of special holiday performances at Caesars Atlantic City: “It’s a Shore Holiday” on Nov. 16 and the traditional classic “The Nutcracker” on Dec. 15. Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa hosts two festive shows as Christmas in Concert runs from Dec. 7 through Dec. 24 and John Legend performs A John Legend Christmas on Dec. 20.
Get your fill of tasty holiday-themed food and drinks at places like The Irish Pub & Inn. Whether it’s a cup of their famous Irish coffee or a pint of Guinness, the drinks flow all winter long while the Inn transforms into a Christmas wonderland with twinkling lights and decorations. For dessert, check out the Christmas Experience at Bar 32, an artisan chocolate shop and cocktail bar. Festive desserts are on offer courtesy of Mama Chocolate, plus take part in a craft-making activity like DIY Christmas on Dec. 5.
And if it’s holiday shopping your group is after, experience the Noyes Holiday Market & Gingerbread Village. Held on Dec. 14 and 15, the market features vendors selling handmade items as well as a village of gingerbread houses. Attendees can cast their vote for the best one. The Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall also hosts the Tinseltown Market pop-up shopping experience on Nov. 30 and Dec. 15 with local artists and vendors selling crafts and unique gifts.
In addition to offering world-class entertainment, Atlantic City’s resorts and casinos are also a great option for a place to stay in the heart of it all. Resorts like Tropicana, Caesars, Bally’s, and Hard Rock are located along the Atlantic Ocean and also are host to many events going on throughout the Tinseltown Holiday Experience.
