You’ll find these bounties of blooms displayed at many of Elkhart County’s and Shipshewana’s most popular attractions, some with hand-painted quilt-patterned murals, completing this vibrant tapestry of color.

The Evelyn Lehman Culp Heritage Collection in Nappanee showcases the rich history and culture of the area, including its strong Amish and Mennonite heritage. Highlights include the Hoosier Cabinet exhibit, a tribute to Nappanee’s cartoonists, and the Doug Grant Family Gallery, featuring paintings by Emma Schrock.

The Elkhart County Historical Museum, located in the historic Bristol High School building in Bristol, offers a free engaging and educational group experience. With its wide array of exhibits and interactive opportunities, it’s an ideal destination for history enthusiasts. The museum features exhibits that tell the story of Elkhart County’s history, spanning topics such as Native American heritage, early settlement, industrial growth, and the Amish and Mennonite communities. Groups can book docent-led tours tailored to their interests, whether they want an in-depth focus on specific exhibits or a broad overview of Elkhart County’s history. Tours are interactive and encourage questions. Donations are welcome.
