Rotary Botanical Gardens is an award-winning, 20-acre nonprofit botanic garden, home to many dramatic and themed gardens. Some have an international focus, such as the Japanese and English Cottage gardens, while others are less formally structured, such as the children’s garden, Hosta Hollow, the fern and moss garden, and other seasonal displays. A lovely Wellness Garden and labyrinth were added in 2018. Take in the botanical splendor as you explore this fragrant and lovely garden!

The Wisconsin Wagon Company is as close to Santa’s workshop as you can get. Only in Janesville can you tour the manufacturer of handcrafted Janesville Coaster Wagons and other solid wooden toys patterned after historic products of the first half century. The tour will draw you into their toy making gallery and delight all who watch the local artisans create. After the tour you can buy or special order a wagon or toy of your own.

Tour Lincoln-Tallman House, an Italian villa-style mansion where Abraham Lincoln was a guest in 1859. Today, the home has been restored and still houses 75% of the original furnishings from the Tallman Family. The tour focuses on how a prosperous Victorian family would have lived while weaving in interesting stories about the Tallman family. In November and December, come for the Lincoln-Tallman House Holiday Tour with the house decked out in its holiday finery.

Janesville’s first newspaper was printed in 1854 and has continued ever since. Tour Bliss Communications Printing Facility, the 54,000-square-foot state-of-the-art newspaper production facility on Janesville’s far east side, built by Bliss Communications, publisher of The Janesville Gazette and several subsidiary products. The plant houses the newspaper’s pre-press, press, packaging/distribution and newsprint storage operations. The press is capable of producing 75,000 copies per hour with high quality reproduction and four-color printing on virtually every page.
