The Fredericksburg Area Museum located in the Old Town hall chronicles the story of Fredericksburg’s vibrant past.

CHANCELLORSVILLE BATTLEFIELD
Located 13 miles west of Fredericksburg, this area was the scene of the accidental wounding of Confederate General “Stonewall” Jackson in May of 1863.

Learn about the early history of Spotsylvania County from Governor Spotswood and about the Native Americans during the Civil War.
