SACRAMENTO, Ca. — Visit California — the state’s tourism marketing nonprofit — is implementing its new Travel California. Respect California. campaign to remind locals and visitors to travel responsibly this summer.

Visit California’s Responsible Travel Code, entitled RESPECT, includes seven reminders to travelers. These reminders are roam responsibly, educate myself, safety first, preserve California, embrace community, celebrate culture and teach others.

“We hope this code can serve as a quick resource for travelers on how to stay safe and be respectful of others and of the environment when visiting the state,” said Carolina Beteta, president and CEO of Visit California. “Visitors should plan to take several new precautions, but they should also be excited to travel again.”
