One of the best places to begin your H-town visit is Heritage Station. A former train depot has been repurposed and is now home to the Huntington Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and The Red Caboose Regional Artisan Center. Several unique, local businesses are located in the station including an artisan bakery, a custom candle shop, a taproom, a yoga/fitness studio, a women’s clothing boutique, a BnB and more.

See a world where art, education and nature combine with a tour of the Huntington Museum of Art. This award-winning institution features a permanent art collection with thousands of objects and several exhibition spaces. Join workshops and classes, see West Virginia’s only tropical and subtropical plant conservatory, walk hiking trails and more.

Experience Appalachian culture and heritage through exhibits, folk craft demonstrations and family-friendly events at Heritage Farms. Here, your group can explore eight different museums, a historic homestead site, makers space, log church, blacksmith shop, artisan center, a playground and petting zoo. Be sure to visit the cafe and gift shop. Lodging, meeting facilities and guided tours are available.

No trip to H-town would be complete without visiting Marshall University, the heart of the city. Take the “We Are Marshall” tour — maps are available at the Visitors Center. Your group will see the school and surrounding campus, prominent locations in the community featured in the film and the Memorial Fountain, a tribute to those lives lost during the tragedy.
