MESSES & MEMORIES

Colorful chaos and lots of laughs await at Splatter Studio, where groups don goggles, grab paint, and fling, splatter, and swipe their way to a take-home canvas masterpiece. Over at Sloomoo Institute Atlanta, slime is supreme. Filled with sensory play and STEM-inspired explorations, this group-friendly attraction lets kids of all ages customize their own slime, peer into a 350-gallon goo-filled “Lake Sloomoo,” and even enter a slime-centered augmented reality called the Sloomooverse.

For a different kind of messy fun, Beat the Bomb invites groups to step into real-life video games, racing to complete tasks before the clock runs dry—otherwise, it’s an explosion of foam, slime, or paint. Once everyone’s cleaned up, photo ops abound. Teens and tweens can pose on the Jackson Street Bridge over Freedom Parkway with its iconic skyline backdrop, snap a selfie in front of colorful public art murals, or track down the 30 miniature Tiny Doors ATL installations scattered throughout the city.

ACTIVITIES & AMUSEMENTS

Burn off some energy at Six Flags Over Georgia, where thrill-seekers can take on high-speed roller coasters, water rides, and carnival games. At Skyline Park, perched on the rooftop of Ponce City Market, groups can enjoy a “Coney Island-style boardwalk” complete with mini golf, Skee-Ball, basketball, and a three-story slide—all with can’t-beat views of Atlanta. On warm days, the splash pad at Centennial Olympic Park offers a refreshing break. If it’s rainy, head indoors to Main Event, Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, or Round1 Bowling & Amusement for bowling, arcade games, laser tag, karaoke, virtual reality, and more.

NOVEL & NOTEWORTHY

Over at the World of Coca-Cola, students can dive into the brand’s history through interactive exhibits or sample fizzy flavors they’ve never even heard of. Or, make your way to the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame—a perfect pit stop for future pros that sports no shortage of field trips, team-building opportunities, and youth-focused programming. Meanwhile, puppet performances, workshops, and the famous World of Puppetry Museum are all on the docket at the Center for Puppetry Arts.
