LEARN

Known for its extensive connection to science and innovation, Houston is the perfect place to immerse your students in activities that are both fun and educational. And where better to start than a museum? Kick things off at the George W.S. Abbey Rocket Park, where visitors can check out four rockets that were used in NASA missions during the 1960s and 1970s. Tour the Houston Museum of Natural Science and explore a living butterfly exhibit, paleontological discoveries, ancient Egyptian history, scientific displays, and so much more. Or, venture up to College Station and visit the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum, where your students can learn about the life and legacy of the nation’s 41st president and view artifacts from World War II.

WANDER

Keep your students active with an outdoor expedition. The Armand Bayou Nature Center is a great place to observe more than 2,500 acres of protected wetlands, forest, and marsh habitats. Keep a close eye out for hundreds of species of birds, mammals, and reptiles. The Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge is another top-notch attraction for students interested in wildlife conservation.

SAVOR

No visit to Houston is complete without sampling some classic Texan cuisine. For some Tex-Mex dining, Torchy’s Tacos offers a wide variety of burrito bowls, tacos, and more. Fuddruckers is a great, group-friendly option for American fare. For dessert, stop by SweetRide! Houston or Underground Creamery for some unforgettable ice cream.
