This is the world’s most comprehensive attraction devoted to the space shuttle. Inside Space Shuttle Atlantis, stand nose-to nose with the real orbiter that flew 33 missions and still shows the charring from her last re-entry to Earth. See Atlantis as only astronauts have seen her before, with payload bay doors open as if she were floating in space. You will also see a life-size replica of the Hubble Space Telescope and honor the fallen astronauts of Columbia and Challenger in Forever Remembered. Explore further with more than 60 interactive, touch-screen simulators, perfect for all ages.

Explore the past, present and future of manned space flight on the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour. See NASA’s historical and working spaceflight facilities including the iconic Vehicle Assembly Building and Launch Complex 39. Then disembark to experience the excitement of the Apollo Program at theApollo/Saturn V Center. There, walk beneath a real Saturn V Moon rocket and marvel at its incredible size – at 363 feet long, it is 60 feet taller than the Statue of Liberty! Touch a real Moon rock and explore a wealth of Apollo artifacts, including Alan Shepard’s Kitty Hawk capsule and his spacesuit from Apollo 14, still bathed in Moon dust.

Meet a veteran NASA astronaut at our live Astronaut Encounter show every day of the year. Offered multiple times daily, this presentation stars commanders, pilots, mission specialists, payload specialists and others who have lived and worked in space. The Astronaut of the Day will first share with you a brief multimedia presentation about his or her experience, then you’ll have an opportunity to ask your burning questions. Following the presentation, you will have time to grab a quick photo with the astronaut, so get your camera or Smartphone ready!
