ART

Several tours are offered to students at Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, which explores New Mexico’s landscape, legacy and the unique connection between cultures. “We Are of This Place” Tour offers an introduction to the history and way of life of the Pueblo people and the art of the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. The Architecture Tour explores the site’s buildings and how they connect to ancestral Pueblo sites. Customized tours based on a theme of a group’s choice, such as art, history or pottery, are available.

SCIENCE

Museum educators at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science lead hands-on and engaging programs focused on ecosystems, dinosaurs, rocks, osteology, volcanoes, plant anatomy, photosynthesis and other subjects. School groups may join any of the museum planetarium’s regularly scheduled shows, but the planetarium also will offer special shows for groups of at least 15 by request.

PHYSICS

Learn about the worldwide history, science and art of ballooning. Guided student tours and activities at Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum are available upon request. Activities include Art and Ballooning, Watching Weather, We Are a Balloon Crew, Map Detectives and Plan a Balloon Expedition. Although lunch is not provided, indoor or outdoor spaces for lunch are available.
